Allowance Adjustment?

Let's get this straight. We are required to apply the 12% eVAT to all of our services and tours.

We don't want to but we are required BY LAW to do so. Illogical as it may be, since everything under the great blue heavens is already subject to it (fuel, van spare parts, hotel/resort services, etc.), we must apply the 12% as well. So our clients end up paying compounded values of tax. Okay lang sana kung makita natin ang results nitong taxes, but if they just go to the pockets of the officials...

So how do we compute our quotations? First, we ask for client preferences. Second, we canvass for most appropriate services (transport, hotels/resorts, restaurants, etc.), ones that are reasonably-priced but not tacky. Third, we apply 12% VAT. Fourth, we add a 10% allowance adjustment. Finally, we round off the figure to the nearest hundred.

What's the Allowance Adjustment for? This is not a tax. It is actually extra money for the sole purpose of covering for charges caused by changes in the itinerary DURING the tour. If there are no changes, we return the money to the clients in the form of gifts (gift certificates, souvenirs, native products, delicacies, etc.).

We, at La MontaƱa Tours & Vans, go all-out for our visitors. We are committed to making sure that they are able to relax and enjoy a worry-free, hassle-free tour of their destination. We are not here to milk them of their hard-earned money. We are here to provide them a satisfactory reward for all their hard work.
